Arts & Culture

A cultural notebook can record your encounters with books, exhibitions, films and performances without ranking every experience. Its purpose is to preserve what caught your attention, including questions that do not yet have an answer.

An exhibition label provides context, but it can also direct your attention before you have noticed your own response. Try spending a little time with an artwork first. Observe its scale, materials, colours and the way it occupies the room.
